Case Study - Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland August 2010
Supply and fit of over 500m2 of Wenge parquet flooring in both a herringbone and ladder pattern to the foyer, main dining hall, and bars.
Unfinished parquet blocks - first plywood installed then the blocks adhered to the plywood subfloor using parquet adhesive.
Sanded on site then 1 coat of Prelak primer and 3 coats of hard wearing Junckers Lacquer applied.
Wenge flooring info:
Wenge is a beautiful dark timber from West Africa, used both for flooring and cabinet making. It requires a lot of skilled workmanship and we spent many hours laying the intricate herring-bone pattern then sanding and sealing it.
