The Roomba robot vacuum cleaner is ten years old!
iRobot, the company behind the self propelled robotic floor vacuum confirmed that they have sold over 6 million of these wonderful labour saving devices equating to sucking up over a million tons of dirt and dust in the process. The average Roomba travels in the region of 700 miles during its life and removes over 150 kilos of debris providing hours of hassle free floor care each year.
