Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons has planted two giant tree sculptures in the centre of their new Toyko shop, sprouting from the floor and spreading out across the ceiling. The brain child of paris design studio Coudamy Design the work was commissioned to introduce organic forms to the otherwise bland retail space.

Coudamy says: “The 9,715 planks, laid one by one from the two vertical pillars, were fixed… randomly. Without knowing where it would go and eventually end, the sculpture forms a structure which becomes wider to spread horizontally and overhang [the] space in every direction.”
