|ANN’S ANGELS is an initiative founded in 2008 by Louisa Boyle in memory of her mum Ann Boyle who died from oesophageal cancer aged just 54. The initiative aims to raise money and awareness for oesophageal cancer research through charity Ochre and also for the Balcraig Foundation’s Kenyan orphanages.
Ann’s Angels fundraising activity will kick off with a bang in 2009 with the Sounds of Avalon concerts which will take place over two consecutive nights in May/June 2009 at King Tut’s in Glasgow.
From late 2008 there has been a flurry of fundraising activity taking place prior to the concert with Newlands Tennis Club, Functional PT, the pupils and staff of Kelvinside Academy and the Pretty Ugly club night all fundraising through sports, music and personal donations for Ann’s Angels.
Ann’s Angels remembers all of those lost to oesophageal cancer and would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone who has been touched by this illness in any way.
McKay Flooring is sponsoring Ann’s Angels and will be supporting them throughout all their charity events.
