Metal Patches on Wood Floors

We couldn’t help but be impressed by the  old world charm of this beautiful barn conversion by Mindy Marin of West Marin. What particularly caught our eye was the zinc metal patches used to cover up the many holes in the original wood floors adding an authentic and beautiful architectural detail to this sensitive renovation.

These wonderful zinc metal patches on wood floors are roughly cut to size and tacked on to cover any potential trip hazards or unsightly holes while also complementing the origins of this 100 year building as a once hard working farm house barn.
