Oak Flooring Providing Warm Tones To Minimalist Interiors

Confined to narrow spaces with limited light designers rhythmdesign were forced to go vertical to create the space and light required in this beautiful property in Kasuga, Japan. With a reinforced concrete ground level the rest of the house is unashamedly wooden with floor and ceiling joists exposed to add warm timber hues to this striking minimalist aesthetic and the addition of moving wall partitions to allow for the space to be redefined.  What struck us most obviously was the extensive use of oak flooring throughout the property to again soften the industrial look and provide warm tones and a design continuity to the various floor levels.
