Conceived and developed in the early 2000′s by architect Juergen Frei, Luccon is the world’s first commercially produced transparent concrete. Constructed in layers of alternating fiber optics and concrete to produce slabs or bricks in thicknesses of 20mm up to 500mm and just as strong as any conventional concrete material Luccon is a truly diverse (structural strength and usable externally as as well as internally) and inspirational material for designers and architects alike.
We’ve not seen it done yet but we reckon this would be perfect as a bespoke feature floor in a boutique hotel or luxury domestic property.
